Your local policing team for Shirland and Higham

pcsogarygreenPCSO Gary GreenShirland and Higham are covered by the North Wingfield, Pilsley, Stonebroom and Shirland Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team.

The team is led by Sgt. Aidan Stones, and includes PC Phil Parkin, PC Sarah Dolby and Police Community Support Officers Gary Green, Dave Bull and Laura McLuckie.

While the team works together to keep our neighbourhood safe, PCSO Gary Green is the dedicated officer for the Shirland and Higham area.

Every community in Derbyshire has a Safer Neighbourhood policing team, and each team works in partnership with other local agencies to help make sure that our areas stay safe and pleasant places to live.

Some of the agencies we work with include the North East Derbyshire Community Safety Partnership, Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, Shirland and Higham Parish Council, local schools and neighbourhood watch groups.

Our team is one of eight Safer Neighbourhood policing teams that cover the Clay Cross and North East Derbyshire Policing Section, which is managed by Insp. Glenn Hoggard.

Every few months we will hold meetings with residents and community members to select policing priorities for the area, which recently have included targeting speeding traffic around Shirland Primary School.
